Job Title: Finance Manager

Job Summary:
The Finance Manager holds full accountability for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, audit coordination, and statutory compliance at Newness Digital Company Limited. This role oversees end-to-end accounting operations, prepares monthly management reports and group consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP, and strengthens the internal control framework across the organization. The Finance Manager works closely with the CFO, department heads, and external auditors to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting that supports the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1. Financial Planning and Budgeting
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor and control departmental budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Provide financial projections and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
- Manage and maintain the company’s fixed asset register, including capitalization, depreciation schedules, and periodic asset verification.
- 2. Financial Reporting and Analysis

- Prepare monthly management reports and group consolidated financial statements in full compliance with IFRS and local GAAP, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, presenting findings to the Share owners and Senior leadership.
- Continuously strengthen the internal control framework to improve financial governance, reduce risk, and enhance reporting reliability across departments.
- Track key financial metrics and KPIs, ensuring alignment with company targets and strategic priorities.
- 3. Cash Flow and Treasury Management

- Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations and business growth.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payment and collection cycles.
- Manage banking relationships and negotiate favorable terms for financial facilities and services.
- 4. Compliance, Tax, and Regulatory Management

- Ensure full compliance with Myanmar tax laws, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
- Manage end-to-end audit processes by coordinating with external auditors (including Big 4 or equivalent firms) and tax advisors to complete statutory audits, group consolidated audit reports, and tax filings accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain internal financial controls and policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy.
- Oversee statutory compliance filings with relevant Myanmar regulatory bodies (e.g., DICA, IRD), ensuring all submissions are complete, accurate, and submitted within required deadlines.
- 5. Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Supervise and mentor the Financial Accountant and other finance team members to drive performance and professional growth.
- Partner with department heads across Account Management, Creative, Project, Digital Marketing, and HR teams to provide financial guidance and cost management support.
- Support the CFO in board-level financial presentations and investor/stakeholder reporting.
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably within a digital marketing agency or media industry.

- Proficiency in accounting software (ZohoBooks, Xero, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel (advanced level)/Google Sheet
- Strong understanding of Myanmar tax laws, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.

- Experience with financial modeling, scenario planning, and management reporting.
