About Us Newness is a fast-growing branding and digital marketing agency based in Yangon, Myanmar. We work with leading local and international brands across diverse industries, delivering creative, strategic, and integrated marketing solutions. We are expanding our leadership team and looking for an experienced Account Director to drive client growth and lead our account management team.

About the Role The Account Director is a senior leadership position responsible for managing key client relationships, leading and growing the account team, winning new business, and setting the strategic direction for client accounts. This role reports directly to the Executive Director and oversees a team of 4–7 account management professionals.

What You Will Do

Team Leadership — Lead, manage, and mentor a team of 4–7 account professionals (Account Managers, Senior AEs, AEs) — Set clear performance expectations and support team growth and development — Build a high-performance, collaborative account team culture

Client Relationship Management — Serve as the senior point of contact for key and high-value client accounts — Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients at CEO and Director level — Ensure consistent client satisfaction and retention across all accounts

New Business & Pitching — Lead the development and delivery of compelling proposals and pitches to new clients — Identify and pursue new business opportunities alongside the Executive Director — Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and upselling

Account Strategy & Direction — Set the strategic direction for client accounts aligned with their business goals — Collaborate with Creative, Digital, and Project teams on integrated campaign strategies — Provide data-driven insights to continuously improve campaign performance

Operational Excellence — Oversee account budgets, reporting, and billing accuracy — Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget — Develop and improve account management processes and SOPs

What We Are Looking For

— Minimum 5–8 years in account management, client servicing, or related field
— Proven experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously
— Background in a digital marketing, branding, or integrated agency is strongly preferred
— Demonstrated success in new business development and pitching
— Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
— Strong leadership and people management skills
— Outstanding communication skills in English and Burmese
— Confident presenter with experience in high-stakes pitches
— Proficient in Google Workspace and CRM / project management tools
— Understanding of digital marketing channels (social media, paid media, content marketing)
