Job Summary:
The Senior Copy/Content Writer is responsible for developing high-quality, impactful content while leading the creative ideation and execution of strategic writing projects. This role demands advanced writing skills, creative leadership, and a deep understanding of content marketing and digital trends. As a senior team member, you will oversee critical projects, mentor junior writers, and ensure all content aligns with client objectives, brand guidelines, and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content and Copy Leadership
- Create persuasive, engaging, and innovative content across multiple formats, including website copy, social media campaigns, email marketing, product descriptions, white papers, and long-form articles.
- Serve as a quality control gatekeeper, reviewing and refining content produced by junior writers to ensure clarity, creativity, and alignment with brand voice.
- Take ownership of high-profile or complex writing projects, managing them from conception to completion.
- Strategic Content Development
- Develop content strategies that align with marketing goals, client objectives, and target audience needs.
- Collaborate with Content Leads and Account Managers to conceptualize campaign themes and messaging frameworks.
- Use data and audience insights to inform and enhance the relevance and impact of content.
- Team Mentorship and Collaboration
- Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to junior copywriters and freelancers, fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.
- Act as a resource for best practices in writing, editing, and storytelling within the team.
- Collaborate with the Creative, Marketing, and Digital teams to ensure consistency and alignment across campaigns and deliverables.
- Research and Trends Awareness
- Conduct in-depth research on industries, competitors, and target audiences to craft content that resonates and drives results.
- Stay up-to-date on content marketing trends, audience behaviors, and industry innovations to keep strategies fresh and competitive.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Use analytics tools to measure content performance, assess engagement, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Report key insights to stakeholders and recommend adjustments to enhance future content strategies.
- Content Calendar and Workflow Management
- Assist in planning and managing the content calendar, ensuring timely delivery of all projects.
- Identify process improvements to streamline content production and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
Skills and Qualifications:Experience:
- 4–6 years of experience in copywriting, content creation, or marketing, with a portfolio showcasing diverse and impactful work.
- Proven experience in leading projects and mentoring team members.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
